You also have a bit of headroom in case the 12 V should be a bit too high. Your input voltage will be 4.8 V instead of 5 V, but the Arduino will see that still as a high level. Now 14 kΩ is not a standard value, but 15 kΩ is. If your R2 is 10 kΩ then R1 should be 14 kΩ. Resistor values in the range of 10 kΩ are a good choice. ![]() If anything goes wrong, you can check it out on the display, keeping your system in better condition.A simple resistor divider will bring the 12 V down to the 5 V an Arduino can digest. To keep an eye on your electrical system, a power usage meter is needed. There is also an option of a RecPro switch plate for a more attractive and stable installation. The applied load should not exceed the rated voltage or current. ![]() Please install it in an indoor location away from water and other outdoor elements. This unit is designed for indoor use, not outdoor use. The large-screen LCD monitor displays the needed information easily. Included in this power usage meter is a voltage alarm, which turns on when the voltage increases over the voltage alarm threshold, keeping the system safe. ![]() It measures and displays voltage, current (amps), active power (watts), and energy (watt-hour) to inform you of the health and activity in your electrical system. This RV Power Usage Meter measures 3 5/8" wide by 2" high by 1" deep (5" wide by 3" high including the switch plate). To help you measure and understand your RV electrical system, you can use a power usage meter. ![]() With all of the terms like voltage, current, and power, it can be hard to know what you need or what your system is putting out. RV electrical systems can be complicated, difficult, and hard to understand. ![]()
